DIEGO CALVIÑOSystems · Automation · Applied AI

When the same error keeps happening, it isn't human error.

I analyse operational processes and build systems that connect data, apply business rules and automate checks to detect inconsistencies and make decisions verifiable.

SELECTED WORK

Systems built for real-world problems.

Three independent projects at different stages: coordinating operations, governing AI-assisted software development and controlling handoffs between teams and systems.

SICALPE

Connecting information to coordinate resources and decisions.

It connects operational data, resources, documentation and status information. Rules and validation checks help identify inconsistencies and maintain traceability across processes.

MY ROLE
I defined operational workflows, data relationships and validation controls, developed system components and worked on internal tests.

E2E Assurance Sandbox

Building software with AI without confusing generated work with verified results.

A working model that connects requirements, deliverables, tests and evidence. It distinguishes generated output from verified work before allowing the next stage to proceed.

MY ROLE
I defined work contracts, checkpoints and a reconciliation process linking requirements, tests and development status.

  3. 03 / DECISION What may proceed Gates · reconciliation · progression

Separating generation, verification and approval is the product’s guiding principle.

E2E Process Assurance

Preventing an issue from reaching the next team or system.

It evaluates process handoffs, identifies unmet requirements, stops the affected transition and requires correction and revalidation before work can continue.

MY ROLE
I designed control rules, exception handling and revalidation conditions, and worked on test scenarios for blocking and resuming a process.

The entire process is not blocked: the control applies to the affected transition.

PROBLEM → SYSTEM → EVIDENCE

Understand before automating.

  1. 01

    Understand the problem

Map how work actually happens, what exceptions arise and where recurring failures originate.

  2. 02

    Turn it into a system

Translate decisions, data and dependencies into rules, states and reproducible controls.

  3. 03

    Make it demonstrable

Verify results through tests and traceability, distinguishing evidence from assumptions.

BACKGROUND & APPROACH

My experience comes from real operations, not just exercises.

I have worked with technology infrastructure and logistics processes involving people, resources, information and real-world constraints. That experience shapes my focus on building systems that are useful to the people who operate them.

Is there a process that shouldn't still work this way?

I’m interested in roles, projects and collaborations with operations, systems and transformation teams—especially where information needs connecting, controls need automating and processes need improving.
